Obtaining a leadership level or instructor’s diving qualification will take your career to a whole new level. It will open up a whole new range of job and business possibilities worldwide. As such, the training is intense, and of a high, internationally accepted, standard. These qualifications require annual re-registration, and bi-anual re-examinations to ensure that high standards are maintained.
Divemaster:
The minimum enrollment qualification is that of Rescue Diver (MSD not necessary). This qualification allows you to assist with training, as well as to operate as an underwater tour guide. The course requires 60 dives, and a practical examination.
You also qualify to receive the quarterly magazine from PADI – “The Undersea Journal”.
Instructor:
The Instructor Development Course, or IDC, is presented by Course Director Danny Martin.
The Instructor Exam – IE – is done by independent Course Directors from another country, as specified by PADI.
